Why yes y’all it’s peach cobbler time!
Come on in and join our li’l old Food Fight Friday and have you some Peach Cobbler!
Hubby was recently in the mood for a little cobbler, so we picked up some ripe peaches and went to work!
Well… I should say hubby and Meg went to work!
Meg loves cooking with daddy and is actually getting pretty good in the kitchen!
The cobbler turned out delish and we topped it off with a little whipped cream!
Cobbler Filling
6 to 8 ripe peaches
1/3 cup of brown sugar
2 tsp nutmeg
3 tsp cinnamon
1/2 a lemon (squeezed juice only)
Slice and peel peaches and toss in mixed ingredients above!
Pour into a well-greased pyrex dish and then top with cobbler biscuit dough!
Cobbler Biscuit Dough
Wisk together 1 and 1/3 cups of all-purpose flour
2 tbsp sugar
1 and 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
add 5 tbsp of unsalted butter cut into small pieces
Blend butter into dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs
Then add 2/3 heavy cream or 1/2 cup of milk
Mix until dough comes together and can be rolled out.

After you assemble your cobbler cook for 45 minutes at 375 degrees!
